PC Guru Has Moved!

For those who don't already know, we have moved from our original location on South Lamar to 114 E. Oltorf.  We still have two locations to serve you - The original shop has moved to Oltorf and South Congress, in the Twin Oaks shopping center next to Family Dollar and our 2nd location at 4004 North Lamar, just across from Central Market. 

Thanks to all our customers for helping us to grow.  Our new place is a bit bigger than our old one so we now have room for more technicians.  Despite having moved, our rates remain the same:

56 / hr. standard in-house labor:  2 to 5 day turn around unless we have to order parts.

84 / hr. in-house rush:  move to the front of the line so it will be looked at by the first available tech.

80 / hr. standard on-site: this rate applies when scheduled in advance.

96 / hr. on-site rush:  same day service for when it breaks and you just can't wait to have it fixed.

For in-house labor there is typically a 1/2 hour minimum.  One hour is the minimum for on-sites.  Now you may ask, why would I bring it in for rush when I can get someone out there the next day for less?  Well the answer, believe it or not, is cost.  Some jobs like viruses and spyware require some lengthy scans to be run.  In the shop, once those scans start we can work on other things so you're only billed for the time we spend actually working on it.  On-site we have to charge for the time we're there and when it takes three or four hours for the scans to complete you can see why bringing it in may be better.
